Update: A Short Sign of Life

No worries – yes, I’m still here, alive and well. So is the baby toddler and the rest of the family, thank god. I just wanted to leave a short sign of life here at knitting.today as I didn’t post any new articles or newsletters within quite a while now.

I’m very busy with my last year of my medical education – I’m an intern at a small hospital in Northern Germany currently – and expect to be graduated to a doctor of medicine in summer 2022.

I graduated from Med School in May 2022 and started residency in general surgery in July 2022. From February 2023 to the end of July 2023 I rotated into intensive care medicine (standard rotation within medical training in Germany). I enjoyed working as a doctor in the ICU so much I decided to change specialty and changed my residency to anaesthesiology, emergency medicine and intensive care medicine afterwards. I’m loving every minute of it.

I’ll be back within the next weeks to share my thoughts about what knitting.today is going to be after all now – to be honest, I have no idea how this will all end in detail as there a a lot of options.

Quitting? Transferring? Just making it all open source?

I haven’t decided yet.

Talk to you soon! Lots of love, yours truly – Julia <3
